About The Scheme

The proposed site covers an area of approximately 1.54 hectares at Henwick Mill, north of Martley Road, Worcester. The below site location plan shows the extent of the site area and where it is located in relation to existing development in Worcester.

What is Being Proposed?

The adopted South Worcestershire Development Plan allocates this land for residential development.

The Indicative Site Layout (see below) shows how the site could be developed to accommodate approximately 40 new homes. The scheme seeks redevelop a brownfield site and deliver a high-quality residential development. The proposals include:

​

  • A mix of house types, which will cater for different needs. These range from two-bedroom flats to four bedroom homes with garages

​

  • A green buffer running parallel to Laughern Brook

​

  • Wildflower grassland, which will create new ecological habitats

​

  • Tree planting across the site

​

  • The existing site access from Martley Road (B4204) will be retained and used to provide access to the site

​​

  • Henwick Mill House will be retained
